Desiccants:

East Texas Seals is a large supplier of Desiccants and other absorbing products. We stock a wide variety of clay desiccant and silica gel packets available in brown kraft bags, non-woven sewn bags and tyvek bags. From pharmaceutical grades of silica gel and military grades to commercial grades of clay moisture absorbing compounds. Desiccants are chemically inert, non toxic, odorless and non-corrosive. Montmorillonite Clay-is a natural occurring absorbent. Clay is inexpensive, Non-hazardous and highly effective within normal temperature and relative humidity ranges. The clay absorbs about 25-26% of its weight at 80% RH. Call or email for more information.

Silica Gel-is a form of silica manufactured from sodium silicate and sulfuric acid. Silica Gel is also non-hazardous and is capable of absorbing 40% of its weight in water vapor at 100% humidity. Cargo DryPak-is a specially formulated desiccant product designed to lower the dew point inside shipping and storage containers. By lowering the dew point, Cargo DryPak protects cargo from moisture damage while goods are in transport. Available in 500 gram or 1,500 gram. Cargo DryPak prevents the formation of mold, mildew, rust and corrosion. Also absorbs up to 100% of its weight in moisture while providing 50 days or more of moisture protection while on a ship, truck, rail or airplane in shipping containers. Moisture Barrier Bag

Moisture Barrier Bags provide 100% protection for extended periods of time. They are quaranteed to protect your product from humidity, moisture and elements of the weather. We offer several different barrier materials to choose from. Some are more tear resistant and puncture resistant, some are corrosion inhibited, while others are anti-static. Static Prevention

East Texas Seals supplies static shielding bag and esd shielding products. We carry the following:

Metal- In- Metalized layer buried between the polyester and polyethylene layers. The metal-in layer prevents the penetration of damaging electrostatic fields. This type of bag is recommended to protect static sensitive components. Call or email for more information.

Metal-Out- static shielding bags are designed to protect against static-induced damage. The metal-out layer is at the surface to give low surface resistivity readings. This bag will dissipate a 5,000 volt static charge to zero in less than 100 microseconds. Call or email for more information.

Heavy-Duty Tyvek Moisture Barrier Bags- are the same as the ESD Moisture Barrier Bags with an added layer of Tyvek on the outside for higher tear resistance. Humidity Indicating Devices

These are used to indicate moisture (or advise) the desiccant is fully absorbed. Dots change from blue to pink to indicate humidity conditions per MIL-I-8835.
